Cash Crooks, released by Hacksaw Gaming on 13 August 2026, follows Betty and Clyve, two cartoon cat burglars whose bank raids revolve around much more than ordinary payline wins. The slot’s main attraction is a set of Vault Dials that can turn safe symbols into cash prizes, while three levels of free spins change how often those dials appear and what they can award. The highest level, Vault to Victory, is labelled the Hidden Epic Bonus.
The game uses five reels, four rows and 14 fixed paylines. Standard combinations pay when at least three matching symbols appear on consecutive reels from the left along an eligible line. Its lower-value symbols are the familiar card ranks, while the higher-value pictures show the valuables that Betty and Clyve hope to steal: jewellery, diamond bags, banknotes and bags of cash. These line wins are the starting point, but much of the game’s personality comes from its separate Vault feature. Unlike many other slots, Cash Crooks does not use Wild symbols.
Hacksaw Gaming gives Cash Crooks a volatility rating of 3 out of 5 and a maximum payout of 10,000 times the stake. Its published return-to-player settings are 96.22%, 94.23%, 92.11% and 86.28%. The casino chooses which approved version to offer, so a player should consult the information panel inside the actual game rather than assume the highest figure applies everywhere. RTP is a long-run statistical measure across very large numbers of spins, not a promise that £100 wagered will return a particular sum in one session.
The bank-heist setting is deliberately playful rather than realistic. Betty and Clyve stand beside the reels as guards, safes and stolen valuables set the scene; the artwork keeps the important numbers visible when a feature begins. Underneath the humour, there are three separate things to watch: regular symbol combinations, Vault symbols that lead to a Dial, and FS symbols that unlock a bonus game. A spin can be unremarkable on the paylines yet still become notable when a Vault activates, while an FS trigger determines which free-spin rules will apply next.
First, the five reels stop and the game checks the 14 paylines for matching combinations. If a paying line is present, the normal award is calculated according to the paytable. Then any eligible Vault symbols are dealt with through their own feature, rather than simply acting as another high-paying picture. That order matters when reading the result: the ordinary line award and the Piggy Bank cash prize are different parts of the spin.
The stake provides a useful reference for all those numbers. If a Dial feature produces a 10x cash award on a £0.20 stake, the feature contributes £2; at £1 per spin, that same 10x result would be £10. This is only a calculation example, not a prediction about how often a 10x result will occur. Before playing, check the selected bet and the game’s paytable, particularly if the menu is displayed in a different currency or uses a different stake range.
FS symbols serve another purpose altogether. When three, four or five land together in the base game, they award different bonus rounds rather than a conventional line prize. A pair on its own does not mean that the game is building progress towards a later free-spin trigger; the symbols must meet the requirement on the same spin. Neither a run of misses nor repeated near-misses makes the next trigger due.
The Vault Dial is the central mechanism in Cash Crooks. Vault symbols may land on reels one, three and five, with at most one Vault on each of those reels. When the paylines have been assessed, the Vaults turn into spinning Dials. A Dial can reveal an additive multiplier, a multiplicative multiplier or the instant Max Win result. If two or three Vaults appear together, the Dials activate in order from the left-hand reel to the right-hand reel.
The Piggy Bank acts as the running total for the Dials activated on that spin. Additive values raise the total by the stated amount; multiplicative values multiply the total that has already been gathered. Once all the relevant Dials have resolved, the resulting figure becomes a cash prize based on the current stake. Importantly, the Piggy Bank is not a permanent savings pot that carries every previous spin’s multipliers into the next one.
Multiple Vaults create more chances for the Piggy Bank figure to change, but the mere sight of three safes should not be read as a fixed payout. Their Dial results still have to be revealed. A multiplying result is especially significant after an additive value has already been collected, whereas the same symbol earlier in the sequence can have a different effect. Dials can award small totals as well as very large ones, and a Vault result does not depend on first securing a matching payline.
The simplest way to read the two Dial types is to think of one as adding to a running total and the other as multiplying what is already there. Suppose the first Dial adds 10x, the next multiplies the Piggy Bank by three and the final Dial adds 5x. The sequence would produce 10x, then 30x, then 35x. On a £0.20 stake, a 35x feature award would be £7. The order is essential: adding 5x before multiplying by three would lead to a different total.
Cash Crooks has a useful rule for a multiplicative result that appears first in the sequence: it is treated as an additive value because there is no previous Piggy Bank total to multiply. The Dials can therefore start an award even if the first result is normally a multiplier of another value. A large number printed on one Dial is not necessarily the final award; it must be read in the context of any earlier or later Dial results.
The exception is the Max Win segment. If a Vault Dial lands on this outcome, it awards the game’s advertised maximum of 10,000x the stake instantly, rather than asking the Piggy Bank to accumulate that amount step by step. At £0.20 per spin, 10,000x corresponds to £2,000; at £1 it corresponds to £10,000, subject to the game’s rules and any applicable operator limits. The maximum is not a progressive jackpot funded by other players, and the published game information does not promise a particular frequency for the result.

Three FS symbols appearing together in the base game trigger Grab’n Go, the first bonus tier. It starts with 10 free spins and retains the familiar Vault Dial and Piggy Bank mechanics, but Vault symbols have a higher chance of landing than in ordinary play. This changes how regularly players may see a Dial during the feature, not the certainty of winning on each spin.
Four FS symbols trigger Fierce & Fur-ious, which also begins with 10 free spins but uses stronger Vault Dials. The additive values in this round start at 10x, and its multiplicative values start at x3, removing the lower outcomes available in the standard Dial setup. The result is a higher-value set of possible Dial outcomes, not a guaranteed large payout. Ordinary payline calculations still take place, while the Vault feature remains responsible for building cash prizes.
Five FS symbols unlock Vault to Victory, the Hidden Epic Bonus and the highest of the three tiers. It grants 10 initial free spins, retains the enhanced Dial setup from Fierce & Fur-ious and adds a decisive rule: at least one Vault Dial is activated on every free spin. That guarantee concerns the appearance and activation of a Dial, not the size of its result and certainly not a 10,000x payout. Instead of waiting for a Vault symbol to appear, players see the core feature repeatedly across the round.
The three bonus tiers can last longer than their initial 10 spins. Landing two FS symbols together during a bonus awards two additional free spins, while three FS symbols award four more. These extensions matter because they provide extra opportunities for ordinary payline results and Vault Dial activations; they do not predetermine whether the added spins will pay well. The trigger for Vault to Victory is five FS symbols in the base game, although the Bonus Gamble can provide another route to that tier.
Before starting Grab’n Go or Fierce & Fur-ious, players can accept the 10 spins or use the Bonus Gamble, which spins a separate Deluxe Dial. Its possible results include a changed number of free spins, as low as five or as high as 20, or an upgrade to the next bonus tier. An upgrade from Grab’n Go leads to Fierce & Fur-ious; one from Fierce & Fur-ious can lead to Vault to Victory. The gamble does not simply add a free reward: it can leave the player with fewer spins than originally awarded.
Where local rules and the casino permit them, additional paid options may be available. BonusHunt FeatureSpins costs 3x the normal stake for a spin with five times the usual chance of triggering a bonus; Safe & Sound FeatureSpins costs 50x and guarantees at least one Vault symbol. Direct entry to Grab’n Go is listed at 100x the stake, while Fierce & Fur-ious costs 250x; these amounts are the purchase price, not the prize. Check availability and the RTP shown in the game, and remember that a guaranteed Vault or purchased bonus does not mean a guaranteed profit. A free demo can help explain the rules without financial risk, while any real-money play should stay within a fixed entertainment budget.
